Message from our Chair

I was first introduced to Orr Shalom ten years ago. The electrifying atmosphere of unconditional giving, great responsibility and endless concern for each individual child is the magic that has kept me engaged in Orr Shalom's work over the years.

1,300 children have been entrusted to Orr Shalom's full responsibility by Israel's social welfare services and court system. This means accommodation, health, education, therapy and most important of all, preparing the children to grow into adults with a real chance of succeeding in life, raising their own healthy families, and breaking the cycle of violence and neglect from which they came.

From my personal experience over ten years, I can assure you that Orr Shalom is considered to be the Israeli leader in terms of therapeutic treatment. Moreover, it is run efficiently and modestly, with excellent governance and a high level of transparency.

On behalf of 1,300 Orr Shalom children, I would like to invite you to tour our website, and become involved in our work, through donating money or goods-in-kind, volunteering or becoming an Orr Shalom parent.  Together, we will provide Orr Shalom children with a safe home and a better future.
