French Scouts Volunteer at Orr Shalom

A massive Merci Beaucoup to the thirty French Scouts (les EEIF) from Toulouse, Aix and Paris who are here on their Israel Experience tour.

Our friends "Les Pifs" volunteered with Orr Shalom children in our three homes in Ashkelon this week, and did an amazing job.  Some of them worked together with our teenage girls on a challenging craft project with which they really needed dozens of willing hands, while ten boys primed, painted, cleaned and "shlepped" in one of our other homes.  At the end of the three days, the scouts and the Orr Shalom kids in Ashkelon spent a wonderful day together in the Ashkeluna water park,  which ended with the two groups asking each other to stay in touch.

 Thank you to the EEIF, to Edgar Cohen of Toulouse who put us in contact with this wonderful group, and to all the scouts who worked with their heart and soul and brought the French scouting spirit to Orr Shalom in Ashkelon.
