Emergency Foster-Home Stories
Ortal*, biological-mother whose child was placed in an emergency-home because of parental dysfunction
My dear family,
Greetings and esteem are the first things I want to offer to you, but however many pretty words I write it will not be enough to pack in all the esteem I feel towards you for the treatment and care that you have given my two dear, wonderful children. You are angels that god has chosen to guard over them. You have inside you spirit and faith that you will receive something important in return, rich and with quality like your hearts. Every moment I think about my children and miss them with all my heart and all my spirit, and my soul yearns for them. My father died and my mother is very sick; in my heart I will remember the hardest moments of my life as moments of miracles, because God sent my children "Grandma and Grandpa", and you relate to them as if they were yours. I love you for this and I promise that I see no inferiority in myself and that I will be no obstacle and will not raise any difficulties as I yearn to give my children the right and healthy life. I promise that you will hear stories about us that will excite and gladden your hearts with true softness and love. And so, thank you is the most modest world, but in my heart is love and esteem and much more which words can't describe.
'Grandma Leah*' and 'Grandpa Yitzhak*', parents in an emergency foster-home
To dear mother Ortal,
Thank you so much for giving us the honor of caring for your two wonderful children, Zev and Shachar. Zev is a clever and curious child, and always loves to ask many questions. Shachar is taking great steps, and is now beginning to crawl and to walk around the table. We really enjoy taking care of them and giving them love. Zev always asks about mother Ortal and is always anticipating your visits. Thank you so much for all the presents and surprises that you send him. It gives him strength for the whole week – please G-d you will have the opportunity to hug your children again and make them happy.
