In addition to their foster families, Orr Shalom children who have been severely abused and neglected need more positive adult role models to help restore their faith in the adult world.
To help with this, volunteers visit a child once a week for a couple of hours to spend quality time with him or her. During this time, our volunteers play with the child, take him/her out to a movie or to the park and generally spend a relaxed afternoon in their company, building up a positive and supportive relationship. Our children really look forward to these visits and enjoy the one-on-one time with these special friends.
