Orr Shalom Volunteer Teachers

English is a key language in today's world and mastery of it opens doors both academically and professionally. We are keen to ensure that the standard of English of the children in our care is as good as it can possibly be. This is why our volunteers give Orr Shalom children individual lessons in order to raise their English level.
Hebrew and Math and other core subjects are also taught on a voluntary basis in the afternoons at home, where possible by volunteers. This extra support is particularly critical in the run-up to the Bagrut (matriculation examination), the results of which determine the children's future options.
