Our Mission

Mission Statement

The unique framework of Orr Shalom provides a warm, loving family atmosphere along with professional one-on-one care. Thanks to this special therapeutic model, our children learn vital patterns of behavior that will enable them to develop their own identity, and ultimately become all that they can be. Our target population includes moderately to severely emotionally disturbed children and a significant number of new immigrant children from troubled families. For them, our homes provide a place to learn that a hand can be extended in caring, not in violence, and hopefully serve to break the cycle of abuse for generations to come.
